Opening words – Triennial cycle – Mother Anastacia Laszkarow (Provincial Superior of the Basilian Sisters of Argentina)

Dear Bishops, Priests, Sisters, Teachers, Students, Alumni, Faithful, and Friends of our Global Basilian Family.
Christ is Risen!
It is with great joy that we welcome you to this gathering, with which we officially begin the Three Year preparation for the Jubilee marking the 1,700th Anniversary of the Birth of St. Basil the Great. We are deeply gladdened to see so many people gathered here—direct followers and friends of St. Basil from different parts of the world—who wish to walk alongside us during this time of grace.
We hope this Triennium will be for everyone a true time of kairos, a providential time, an opportunity to allow ourselves to be enlightened anew by the life and teachings of St. Basil.
We hope that this journey will not merely be a historical memory, but also a living experience. May we come to know St. Basil more deeply, learning from his virtues, his love for God and the Church, his life of prayer, his commitment to the poor, his wisdom, and his ability to live the Gospel in community. And above all, may we make him present today, in our concrete reality, allowing his teachings to continue transforming the way we live, serve, and proclaim Christ.
We extend special thanks to Kenosis Communications, in the person of Sr. Mónica Jaciuk, OSBM, for making this space possible, which today unites us across distances.
We also wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to each of those who will join us at the various gatherings over the next three years, for their willingness to serve, their time, their study, and the wisdom they will share.
May this journey help us grow together as the Global Basilian Family, to accompany one another and renew our fidelity to the Gospel, so that, following in the footsteps of St. Basil the Great, we may be living witnesses today to the Holy Scriptures, to communion, and to hospitality.
A warm welcome to all.
M. Anastacia Laszkarow, OSBM
