Sisters of the Order of Saint Basil the Great

📌Argentina

Following their founders Saint Basil and Saint Macrina, the Sisters live the Evangelical lifestyle professing chastity, poverty and obedience. They glorify God in the Divine Liturgy, sanctifying time with the praying of the Divine Office, the Psalms, personal prayer and a contemplative-apostolic life as an expression of union with God that overflows into love for neighbor. They seek Christian perfection and are a praying, healing and life-giving presence.

📌Philadelphia

We strive to be a praying, healing, and life-giving presence. A Sister of the Order of Saint Basil the Great of the Province of Jesus, Lover of Humanity, responds to God’s call and daily renews this commitment. As women of prayer imbued with Eastern Christian Spirituality, she witnesses to the Gospel message. She professes the evangelical counsels in a monastic community based on the teachings of Saint Basil. Within the Ukrainian Catholic Church, she serves the people of God, especially the Ukrainian Community, as defined by the needs and signs of the times.

Our international Order, rooted in the rich Tradition of the Eastern Christian Church and inspired by the teachings of Saint Basil the Great, is called to be a sign of hope in the world.
